Cathy lives on a bush block in Darlington and draws inspiration from the natural environment using wildflower, bird and animal motives to decorate much of her work. She enjoys making sculptural pieces and also does a range of domestic and decorative pots. She finds the versatility of clay and working in 3D very satisfying. Cathy has had several solo exhibitions and exhibited in many local art shows and galleries and has really enjoyed designing and running two clay community art projects. Her introduction to clay was at PLC Junior School with Mrs Hunt and she always wanted to do it again and has now been a potter for about 40 years.
